BLOOD Final album [LOST SKY] on sale Jan. 28, 2009


BLOOD
Their final album, [LOST SKY], will bring an end to 8 years of activity. Remixes will be contributed by labelmates Noir du'Soleil and Spectrum-X, as well as by bands from Japan and overseas that have worked with BLOOD, including sawDUST in me, marlee, Shiv-r, echostream, Tragic Black, and Uninvited Guest. Will also include a remix by Mizuh, the winner of the remix contest that drew more than 300 submissions. A tour in the US spanning January and February has been confirmed in commemoration of the release. Purchases made via the online shop will include a special postcard set and a rare CD from BLOOD's 1st period.

The Australian tour is over, and life has calmed down now. We were very well taken care of by AURAL WINDOW and GPK, so it was a great tour. Thanks so much, everyone! I'd love to go to Australia again someday.

In a turnaround from the norm, my personal life has been busy lately with participating in a wedding and other things. More things to celebrate is always good, but it's still busy. Anyway, it's almost time to go to Australia. It's my first time in the southern hemisphere, so I'll try not to be defeated by the reversed climate. We're finally going. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in each city.

The other day I went to see two legendary bands. One was the legendary black metal band MAYHEM. I really enjoyed the black magic styled stage setup. The other band was the temporarily reunited AT THE GATES. This is a band that had a lot of influence on modern metal bands. I had so much fun, I lost myself in the show. It was an amazing experience.

I think our staging at the Osaka live the other day was a little more aggressive than usual due to some influences. I also thought it was a pretty good idea to have a talk break during the live. Next will be Australia. I wonder what kinds of people we'll meet?

The Toyama live has ended without incident. Everyone gave us a warm welcome, and it was a really fun live. We had a little extra time so we did an MC break, and I think it gave everyone a chance to see what an interesting character Ryo-chan is. At the party afterward, I ate pheasant sashimi for the first time. It didn't really seem like poultry. Everyone in Toyama, thank you very much.

When we go to various places on tour, I usually promise everyone that we'll come back someday. But sometimes there are places we can't go back to due to certain circumstances. But of course, I still never forget about those times. This time I'm keeping my promise. Everyone in Toyama, look forward to it, ok?

The cherry blossoms have their color, and spring is finally here. When I'm out in the pleasant evening air, for some reason it gives me a sad, lonely feeling. A sensation that I could just disappear then and there. Then I come back to myself and start walking again. Seems like I don't have time to be immersed in memories right now.

So it's April now. I think a lot of people are trying to make a new start. It's a time of expectation and anxiety. Even for people who aren't, this might be the chance to take a step forward with a new mindset. Let's all do our best.

When I see stuff like this, it makes me want to go blond again.

Today is the death anniversary of Randy Rhoads, former Ozzy Osbourne Band guitarist. He was a great man who had a major influence on many hard rock/heavy metal guitarists. May he rest in peace.
